In order to capitalise on the opportunities available to promote aroundNorth, I am now considering three potential versions of the piece. The first, of course, is the original concept of the permanent installation for Armagh Observatory (see below). Another possibility is a performance version capable of touring, not just to galleries, but also to dark outside places where an audience would be able to hear my composition whilst looking up at the stars. Finally, there is the possibility of an app being developed, so that people can have access to the piece wherever they are. Each version will have to be different in order to effectively communicate to its specific audience; however, I’m sure that the original ‘music box’ concept will have a fundamental role in all versions.
